The Germans

The Germans was a Berlin-based magazine on politics, culture, and Zeitgeist that spoke to young Germans, who defined themselves as Europeans.
Bureau Borsche redesigned the magazine in 2012 and was responsible for its design and art direction until 2013. A thin colored bar framed each cover image in reference to the classic news magazine The Times. The persistent use of typography and a structured layout also moved the magazine’s look into a news direction. This was complimented by the work of young and upcoming photographers or artists.
