Soccer and fashion don’t seem to go together like bread and butter. At least not good fashion…But SEPP, a magazine founded in 2002 by Mr. Markus Ebner, regards soccer as a beautiful game and reflects upon fashion and soccer’s influences on one another. Apart from current trends it showcases soccer’s personalities, the culture in countries where important games take place, and all sorts of fashionable things related to the sport.
Published every two years for the World Cup or European Championship, SEPP features famous soccer players like Lionel Messi, Jerome Boateng or Luis Figo as models for fashion shoots as well as modern versions of pin-up girls from the hosting countries. 2008–2013 the Bureau was in charge of SEPP’s art direction. We wanted the magazine to communicate a stylish image without relying on typical soccer visuals.
