Nike Equality Campaign

Is this the land history promised?
This field of play.
Where the dream of fairness and mutual respect lives on.
Where you are defined by actions, not your looks and beliefs.
For too long these ideals have taken refuge inside these lines.
Equality should have no boundaries.
The bond between players should exist between people.
Opportunity should be indiscriminate.
Worth should outshine color.
The ball should bounce the same for everyone.
If we can be equals here, we can be equals everywhere.

Nike, the monolith of sportswear has long supported all athletes. Whether big names or small-town heroes. From countries far and wide. Of all builds, sizes, and colors. Whether male or female. Nike is the common denominator. This sense of equality is essential to sports, to competition, to success, to sportsmanship. And in today’s hostile political environments it is under attack. The men and women at Nike decided to take a stand for equality in and outside of the field.

"Equality, fairness, and mutual respect should live outside of strips of asphalt and patches of concrete."

Approached by the good people at Nike Portland, Bureau Borsche tackled their idea of equality on the field and translated it to a basic grafik metaphor. Where the lines of one field end, another’s begin, creating a broad playing field, an ever-changing map of equality.
