Harper’s Bazaar is the ubiquitous high-end fashion magazine from the USA that is represented in 29 different countries with individual country specific issues. Published by NY based Hearst Corporation, this glossy magazine has been Vogue’s fiercest competitor since the 19th century.
The Bureau was asked to do the Creative and Art Direction for Germany’s pilot magazine of Harper’s Bazaar. For the look of the magazine we focused on a most elegant typography, floating headlines, and a playful yet sophisticated use of initials. A generous use of white space rounded out this modern classic.
