Gomma is a Munich-based music label established by Mr. Mathias Munk Modica and Mr. Jonas Telonius Imbery, also partner to Mirko Borsche’s fatherly-DJ duo Dirty Daddies. Renowned for their support of young electronic artists from around the world as well as their non-conformist merchandise, videos, and exhibitions, Gomma is an indie institution.
Between 2000 and 2013, Mirko Borsche paired up with his childhood friend and co-art director Mr. Thomas Kartsolis to produce posters for Gomma. Having met under the bridges of Munich’s graffiti scene as doe-eyed 17-year-olds, Mirko and Thomas’ posters for Gomma act as a playground for their creative approaches, illustrations, and typographical experimentations.
The Amore Postermagazin is a 50-page illustrated book in newspaper format published in highly irregular intervals by Gomma. For an exhibition at the Haus der Kunst, We created the 56-page Universum: Gomma magazine: a best of all Borsche/Kartsolis, aka Smal/Paze, posters for Gomma. The magazine was free for all visitors at a limited edition of 1,500 copies.
