Along with the Bureau, Mirko Borsche never hesitates to dive into titillating projects or dip his toe into art. We believe in stretching design boundaries: experimenting, trying, failing, and trying again. Always eager for an unusual collaboration, and continuously open for the most simple solution. In the words of Mr. Frank Zappa: A mind is like a parachute. It doesn't work if it is not open.
What happens when musicians of the BR Symphony Orchestra, actors of the Munich Kammerspiele, musician Telonius, writer Sabine Magnet, and the voice of Bart Simpson in Germany collaborate? What sounds like the beginning of a bad joke was a self-initiated art project that took place at Maximiliansforum in Munich. The common goal was to fuze contemporary art with classical music in a variety of interdisciplinary projects. Apart from the website design for The Fuze, Bureau Borsche rebuilt aspects of Nazi NeoClassicism in a very rough style. Wooden weapon boxes formed the building blocks for a primitive Triumphal Arch and Theatron in the middle of the exhibition. In reference to propaganda, poems were printed on flags and spread throughout the room.
