The show Capriccio is the TV cultural forum of the BR Bayerisches Fernsehen, a German broadcasting station. On air since 1987, Capriccio has held steadfast to its on humor and aesthetics. With its highly singular style Capriccio is not afraid to harp on subjects or stand-up with a strong opinion, managing to do so with excellent storytelling and a smile. Based on everything Capriccio stands for, we developed a new C.I. featuring a big letter C together with an old-school black-and-white comic cat that is excruciatingly naughty in his cultural quest for fun. Our willful cat interludes every section of the show in stop-motion slips illustrated and animated by the Bureau. The tradition of TV interludes as a long history in Europe that still continues today, but ran exceptionally strong in the 60s and 70s. We wanted to build on this tradition and created our little Capriccio kitty with iconic Italian cartoon characters in mind: Signor Rossi and La Linea.
